Car non-woven wipes vs. ordinary rags: cleaning effect comparison test

Update:14 Jul

1. Material and cleaning power comparison

Non-woven wipes

Material advantages: Thickened spunlace non-woven fabric (weight of 65g/m² or more), pearl surface can enhance friction, with APG decontamination factor and other cleaning ingredients, can quickly dissolve oil and absorb dust.

Actual test performance:

Light stains (dust, fingerprints): One wipe clean, no water marks left.

Severe oil stains (interior grease, coffee stains): Wipe after 5 minutes of wet application, cleaning efficiency is 60% higher than rags.

Limitations: Stubborn stains (such as dried glue stains) need to be wiped repeatedly.

Ordinary rags

Material characteristics: Mostly cotton or blended materials, good water absorption but easy to penetrate oil, easy to shed hair and residual bacteria after repeated use (the total number of bacteria in a single rag can reach 500 billion).

Actual test performance:

Strong water absorption: suitable for wiping water stains or large-scale liquid spills.

Oil stain cleaning: detergent is required, but oil stains are easy to remain and need to be rinsed multiple times.

2. Convenience of use comparison

Project

Non-woven wipes

Ordinary rags

Operation process

Open the lid and use, no additional tools required

Need to soak, wring out, and use with detergent

Portability

Independent packaging, suitable for emergency use in vehicles

Large volume, need to be cleaned and dried regularly

Hygiene

Single-use, avoid cross infection

Repeated use is prone to bacterial growth, high temperature disinfection is required

Environmental protection

Some products are degradable (such as bamboo fiber), but the cost is higher

Reusable, but cleaning consumes water and energy

3. Actual test of scene applicability

Interior cleaning

Non-woven wipes:

Central control screen, leather seats: Non-woven fabric is soft and does not scratch the surface, leaving no residue after cleaning.

Air conditioning vents: Sharp corners can be cleaned in depth with folded wipes.

Ordinary rags: Water stains are easy to leave, and fibers may get stuck in the gaps.

Stubborn stain treatment

Non-woven wipes need to be wiped hard for sticky stains (such as sugar stains), while rags are more effective with detergents, but may damage the interior material.

4. Notes

Avoid using non-woven wipes on leather seats (alcohol content may cause discoloration)

The wipes must be thoroughly dried after use to prevent mold growth
